Firstly, we use a gas grill for barbecuing which, compared to charcoal grills, has the decisive advantage of temperature control, providing the option of cooking with gentle heat, which avoids charring and preserves vitamins.
A gas grill with several heating lines and a lid offers the option of using less heat under the barbecue food while still achieving strong heat alongside the mat, and at the same time this heat can be used for e.g. grilling steaks.
Secondly, we also use this mat with our Cobb charcoal grill with good results, for example for spiny lobsters, crabs, fish, vegetables, all kinds of meat – we’ve also had very good experiences here but it does require a little more intuition and experience and, above all, that you divide the time cleverly. You’ll also need to use the grill mat only during the barbecuing time, removing it if it’s not needed. An unconditional must!
Grill mat in size 40 x 40 cm with a grid spacing of 5.4 mm. The mat is easy to cut and promises clean barbecuing.
Easy to wipe clean and reusable. The mat can be easily cleaned in the dishwasher, making your barbecue even more enjoyable and saving you a lot of work when cleaning it. Do not scrub with a brush; cleaning with a sponge is better.
Heat resistance – the mat works well at temperatures below 260 °C for a long time. Please note: Do not touch directly with open flames.
The mat is ideal for scampi grills – nothing will slip through. Thanks to the grid, everything remains where it should be!
